Medicoplast, 2-way indwelling catheter with Nelaton tip, made of latex with silicone coating on the inner and outer surfaces; for continuous catheterization in adults.
The sterile urinary indwelling catheter features a smooth, rounded, closed Nelaton tip, two smooth opposing catheter eyes, and two lumens. The large lumen is intended for urine drainage, while the smaller lumen is used for filling or emptying the balloon. The catheter is made of latex and is coated with silicone on both the inner and outer surfaces. It is equipped with an inflatable balloon, which ensures fixation of the catheter in the bladder. It is recommended not to fully inflate the balloon to prevent the catheter tip from positioning too high in the bladder, which could cause leakage. Preferably, the balloon should be filled with sterile water. The catheter has a color-coded connector.
Intended duration of use: up to 30 days.
